Pueblo Leather
A beautiful expression that will captivate leather lovers
Pueblo leather is produced by the world-famous tannery Badalassi Carlo in Tuscany, Italy.
The company is known for reviving the traditional "Vacchetta" tanning method that has been passed down in Tuscany for over 10 centuries.
Pueblo leather is also made using this method, and the raw hide is the shoulder of a cow that is at least two years old. It is slowly oiled with high-purity cowhide oil and then tanned with vegetable tannins over a long period of time.
This process transforms the oil-rich Pueblo leather into a leather that is flexible, strong, and smooth to the touch.
It is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process, but once the oil has penetrated the skin, it is difficult to remove and will maintain its condition.
As no chemicals are used in the tanning process, it is environmentally friendly and has been gaining more attention in recent years.
Dramatic and beautiful aging
Pueblo leather is also known for aging more quickly and clearly than other leathers.
Its most distinctive feature is its rough surface with fine scratches that resembles Japanese paper.
This is done by rubbing the silver side of the leather with a brass brush, which causes the fine hairs to fluff up.
This special look and matte texture creates a unique atmosphere that can never be found in any other leather.
As you use it, the fuzz will gradually settle down and it will become soft and moist to the touch.
The color will gradually deepen and a gloss will appear. Although there will be individual and product differences, you can enjoy the changes in color and luster over the course of several years.
If you take good care of it, you can enjoy the beautiful changes that occur over time. Another attractive feature is that, despite its unique leather, it does not require any special maintenance.
