CRAMP / Italian Leather
A popular item that integrates wallet functions into a user-friendly, minimalist design.
A mini wallet with a classic look. It can hold bills, coins, and up to 11 cards, yet it's about the size of a typical card case.
Its unique structure means that its thickness barely changes whether it's empty or full of bills and cards.
Material
Beautiful texture that captivates leather enthusiasts
Pueblo leather is produced by "Badalassi Carlo S.r.l.", a world-renowned tannery in Tuscany, Italy.
The company is known for reviving the traditional tanning method "Vacchetta method" that has been passed down in Tuscany for over 10 centuries.
Pueblo leather is also made using this method, where the shoulder of a female cow, over two years old, is slowly impregnated with highly pure beef leg oil over time and tanned with vegetable tannins.
This process results in Pueblo leather, which is rich in oil, excellent in flexibility and strength, and transforms into a smooth-to-the-touch leather.
Although this method is very labor-intensive and time-consuming, the oil, once absorbed, is resistant to leaching and maintains its condition.
As no chemicals are used in the tanning process, it is environmentally friendly, and its popularity has been growing in recent years.
Dramatic aging (patina)
Pueblo leather is also known for its faster and more distinct aging process compared to other leathers.
Its most distinguishing feature is its rough, finely scratched surface, which can resemble Japanese paper.
This is achieved by rubbing the grain side of the leather with a brass brush, raising fine fibers.
This unique appearance and matte texture create a distinctive atmosphere that cannot be found in other leathers.
As it is used, these fibers gradually flatten, resulting in a moist and soft feel.
Then, the color gradually deepens, and a luster appears.
Despite being a unique type of leather, the fact that it doesn't require special maintenance is also appealing.
Point
Exterior coin compartment
The playful "Coin" engraving adds a charming touch.
Holds a stack of cards
On the right side of the bi-fold, there's a card storage that can hold a stack of cards.
Concerns about "difficulty in retrieving" are perfectly solved by the ingenious mechanism of pushing them up from the hole below!
Bill compartment
The bill compartment opens wide for smooth insertion and removal. It can be tucked under the flap.
Up to two cards can also be stored in the pocket on the left side of the photo.
