A modernized version of an antique British wallet manufactured in the late 19th century.

This product recreates the sharp brass clasp that was popular around the 19th century.
When you open the clasp (coin purse), it connects to a bill pocket, allowing you to playfully retrieve bills directly from it.
The main body is made of traditional vacchetta leather from Tuscany, Italy. You can enjoy elegant and beautiful aging.

Traditional Italian Vacchetta Leather

The leather used is "Toiano" oil leather, manufactured by Volpi S.p.A., a tanner in the Tuscany region of Italy, boasting world-class quality.
It is made using the traditional full vegetable tanning method, a time-consuming and labor-intensive process.
It features a moist and smooth feel unique to European raw hides, and a fine-grained surface, making its elegant and beautiful aging a charm.
The dye and oil are thoroughly absorbed to the core over a long period, providing excellent durability.

Custom Brass Hardware

The impactful hardware is a custom-made product processed by skilled artisans.
It serves as a design highlight. You can choose from two clasp positions depending on the contents.

Brand Story

Concept: "Travel Gear"

Vasco is a Japanese brand that creates bags and leather accessories under the concept of "travel gear."
Vasco da Gama was a great navigator and explorer who opened up new continents during the Age of Discovery.
The brand was named "VASCO" with the desire to reflect the unceasing adventurous spirit that ancient travelers challenged throughout their lives in their craftsmanship.
Vasco handles all processes from planning and sample production to mass production. They say, "There is a genuine power that cannot be expressed in words in things made with the same mindset."
The concept of "travel gear" embodies the meaning of "things that remain after being eliminated," and they create heavy-duty items that do not lose their brilliance over time.

Atelier

Vasco's manufacturing is based in Koenji, Tokyo.
Inside the atelier, renovated to evoke an old sailing ship or port warehouse, a small team of skilled craftsmen utilizes handmade techniques to produce a wide variety of bags and leather accessories.
