The "Trucker Wallet" with a Long History

It is said that this wallet got its nickname because it was popular among American truck drivers in the 1950s. At that time, it was used to hold delivery slips and other documents.
It comes with eyelets for a wallet chain, which is also said to have been first used by bikers and truck drivers to prevent their wallets from falling out of their back pockets while working.
The rugged design of the trucker wallet, made from carefully selected Italian horse butt leather, has an unparalleled character, enhanced by the rich leather texture and the "chajin" (brown core) effect.

HORSE BUTT

Horse butt refers to rare horse rump leather with high fiber density.
The leather used in INCEPTION's main series is Italian horse butt, deeply admired by the craftsman. It is full-vegetable tanned leather from GUIDI, a historic Italian tannery in Tuscany founded in 1896. The surface treatment is meticulous, giving it a luxurious feel that belies its thickness. Over years of use, it develops a delicate sheen unique to horse butt leather. It has a moist touch and a substantial thickness. The entire wallet, even the interior, is crafted from this exquisite leather.

The "Chajin" (Brown Core) Creates a Unique Contrast

As the leather is used, the surface pigment gradually wears away due to friction, revealing the underlying base. Since the base is dyed mocha brown all the way through, it creates a wonderfully subdued appearance.
This condition is known as "chajin" (brown core) and is cherished by many vintage enthusiasts.
In this series, the edges are finished to allow you to enjoy this contrast.

Securely Stores Coins, Cards, and Bills

The entire wallet, even the interior, is made of exquisite leather. Upon opening, there is one card slot, embossed with the brand logo. The section where truck drivers are said to have roughly stored slips and documents securely holds bills and receipts, and cards can also be tucked into the gaps.　

UNIVERSAL ZIPPER

The zipper on the spacious coin pocket has a vintage feel. The long, easy-to-grip puller also reveals the subdued mocha color of the dyed base.

Snap Closure

Because horse butt leather is moist and flexible (stretchy), the outer flap part is constructed by layering two pieces to enhance its robustness.

Each item is inspected and then placed in a convenient non-woven fabric bag for storage, and then in this box.
