Utilizing the light and durable properties of horsehide, this backpack achieves a satisfying capacity. From the Talon zipper pull tabs, a rich mocha color, dyed into the base leather, peeks through. With its reliable size and laptop-compatible storage, it's perfect for everyday use as well as for work. It possesses a certain translucent luster, the suppleness characteristic of horsehide, and lightness. As you use it and it gradually softens, you'll be able to enjoy an even richer expression.

The horsehide collection evokes the image of horses galloping across vast lands, with a natural expression visible within the beautiful luster. The clever aging mechanism is also incredibly cool and enjoyable. It's a masterpiece where you can feel the grand flow of time and vitality.
Horsehide leather refers to leather made from the body of a mature horse. Originally, the base leather was carefully selected for its material content and size for apparel use, such as flight jackets. A light揉み (momi, rubbing/massaging) process in the final stage creates an indescribably pleasant texture and softness.
"Chashin" (brown core) creates a uniquely tasteful contrast
As the item is used, the surface pigment gradually peels off due to rubbing and other wear, revealing the underlying base leather. Since the base is dyed mocha all the way through to the core, it develops a uniquely rich expression. This condition is called "Chashin" (brown core) and is popular among many vintage enthusiasts.

| Material Features | ・Horsehide uses European raw hides, vegetable-tanned to create the base leather. Originally, the base leather was carefully selected for its material content and size for apparel use, such as flight jackets. During dyeing, not only the surface but also the core is dyed mocha, and the final finish is a pigment finish on the surface. The leather is finished with a stable color and glossy texture throughout, and a light揉み (momi, rubbing/massaging) process in the final stage creates an indescribably pleasant texture and softness. Lightness is also a characteristic. ・Horse butt is rare horse rump leather with a high fiber density. It is used for handles, etc. Here, base leather that could not be completed as cordovan is used to create a texture and natural surface wrinkles unique to horse leather that cow leather does not have. Similarly, thick horse butt is selected from European raw hides and vegetable-tanned. The dyeing is intentionally left as a dye-only finish, allowing the leather to develop the natural aging characteristic of undyed horse leather as it is used. |
