Canvas is a plain-woven fabric made from cotton or linen. It is categorized into "gou" (grades) based on its thickness. There are grades from 0 to 11, with grade 0 being the thickest and heaviest, and grade 11 being the thinnest and lightest fabric. This canvas is grade 9, making it a thin and light material. Although it is thin, it is finely woven and has been paraffin-processed, giving it a reasonably soft and durable feel when touched. Paraffin processing is a water-repellent treatment applied by dipping the fabric in wax. As it is used, it softens, and you can enjoy its aging process, similar to denim and leather.
