Founded in 1873, Masure is a Belgian tannery specializing in vegetable tanning, which brings out the natural texture of leather.
With use, it develops a beautiful, translucent sheen.
This material allows you to fully enjoy the pleasure of watching leather develop its character!

What is saddle leather?

This material is named after its original use for horse saddles.
It is a type of natural leather tanned with vegetable tannins, but its distinctive feature is that it is heavily oiled after tanning to enhance its strength and durability.
Its high oil content also gives it excellent flexibility.

What is pull-up leather?

"Pull-up" gets its name from the "pull-up effect," which is a processing method that deeply impregnates leather with oil during manufacturing to give it depth.
As you use it, the oil moves around when the leather is bent or stretched, causing the appearance to change richly.
It typically uses the shoulder section of adult cowhide, which is generally thicker than other parts.
It is characterized by its high fiber density and strong firmness, and its translucent luster deepens with use, gradually becoming familiar and developing into a unique material for you.
