Material
J&FJ Baker saddle leather
The finest saddle leather from J&FJ Baker, a long-established British tannery.
Using traditional tanning methods that have been used since Roman times, leather for horse tack is produced using bulls born and raised locally, taking the time and effort that has always been used.
Because the wax permeates the fine fibers of the leather, it feels nearly twice as heavy as normal leather and has excellent strength, water resistance, etc. All finishing is done by hand using traditional tools and the most suitable oils and greases for the leather.
The appearance varies depending on the part of the body, with the buttocks being relatively smooth and the shoulders having deep wrinkles.
As you use it, the gloss will increase, the color will deepen and the leather will improve.

The finest saddle leather is produced by J&FJ Baker, a long-established British tannery. Using traditional tanning methods that have been used since Roman times, the leather for horse tack is produced using locally-bred bulls, taking the same time and care as it was back then. Because the wax permeates the fine fibers of the leather, it feels nearly twice as heavy as normal leather and has excellent strength and water resistance. All finishing is done by hand using traditional tools and oils and greases that are best suited for the leather. The more you use it, the more glossy it becomes, the darker the color becomes, and the better the leather tastes. *There may be minor scratches that occurred during transportation within Japan or when the animal was alive. *Also, due to the nature of leather, wrinkles, blood vessels, dimples, and pinholes may occasionally be found on the surface, and there may be individual differences in the shade of color. These are unavoidable due to the characteristics of leather, so please understand this before making your purchase. |
